The story
Built through real-world development.
EARL began with the idea of a robotic lift system for horses recovering from acute injuries or musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. The system reduces and redistributes weight while still allowing the animal to move freely within the supported area.
One Health has also developed large and small animal lift systems. That earlier work remains part of the engineering story as the next generation of the EARL platform and related research accessories continue to develop.
